The CCC Youth and Development program provides transitional employment for young adults ages 16-24, with an emphasis on skills enhancement, educational advancement, and civic & community spirit. Approximately 50 young people work on service projects on CCC work crews each year. Youth crews have worked hand in hand with partners statewide and have completed numerous projects. These work projects include: construction and maintaining recreational trails; stabilizing historic building; constructing launch pads and river access points; removing hazardous trees; revegetating barren areas; interior and exterior painting & maintenance of professional and educational facilities; construction of luxury cabins; professional office buildings; and picnic and playground areas; while also assisting in the development of conservation and construction service projects in communities throughout the state.
