What is new with the CCCWV? -- We have priorities, goals, new partnerships and opportunities for a GREAT ’08!
- Implement a 511 Traveler Information System with the Federal Highway Administration and state and local government partners. The first step is to secure a feasibility study grant from FHWA.
- Launch a Pilot Project with the Corporation for National and Community Service, Environmental Protection Agency and/or other state, local partners for national service and volunteerism.
- The First Tee of Beckley is expanding to the First Tee of West Virginia (TFTWV) so that the lives of young people and their communities can be impacted statewide. The First Tee of Beckley is working closely with its Board of Directors and The First Tee National Home Office to accomplish this goal. TFTWV will serve a much larger percentage of the state’s youth, while increasing public awareness and will become the most successful and diverse chapter in the nation.
- Expand Public Lands Corps projects with Federal land-managing agencies.
- Earmarks for a new Educational Center for The First Tee of West Virginia, 24-hour restoration to the state’s Courtesy Patrol program, and operating support for 511.
- Go Green Initiatives for Impacting, Preserving, and Saving our Globe
