Information for Participants
Age Groups
In the first three years of
operation, the primary participant population targets include youth
from 9 to 18 years of age. The First Tee of Beckley will tailor programs for three
population categories during these start-up years:
7 to 11-year olds
12 to 15-year olds
16 to 18-year olds.
Eventually two "bookend"
components will be added:
-
an alumni group
for 19 to 21-year olds, who will stay connected to The First Tee of
Beckley and become a pool of potential mentors/tutors; and
-
a "Tiger
Tikes" component starting with preschool to 8-year olds.
Costs
With the
help of our supporters, The
First Tee of Beckley will try to maintain the program with minimal cost to participants.
The First Tee of Beckley
participants will enjoy:

Free facility use during
programming hours,

Reduced facility fees
during non programming hours, and
-
Free and reduced green fees
at affiliate golf courses.
