  • Received the Outstanding Business/Employer Recognition Award in the State of West Virginia through the West Virginia Welfare Reform Coalition for Program Year 1999.
     

  • Received the Special Recognition Award:  "Stars of the Industry"  through the West Virginia Division of Tourism in September 2000.
     

  • Selected in the top 10 for over 200 programs in the Southern Region for Best Innovations 2000 through the Council of State Governments (CSG) by John F. Kennedy School of Government at Harvard University.
     

  • The West Virginia State Journal selected the West Virginia Courtesy Patrol as an award winner for its annual "55 Good Things about West Virginia" publication on June 27th, 2002.
     

  • The WVCP was featured at the National Welfare-to-Work Conference:  Building the Future in Phoenix, Arizona.  WVCP representatives conducted a workshop titled -"Job Creation:  Where Mission and the Market Meet" due to the program's innovative approaches to job creation with welfare recipients transitioning into the workforce.
     

  • The Courtesy Patrol was featured during the National Council for Continuing Education and Training (NCCET) Conference in Richmond, Virginia during the month of October 2002, for the purposes of sharing Continuing Education, Community Service, and Workforce Development ideas and successes. 
     

  • Received the Strategic Partnership Award for the West Virginia Courtesy Patrol program through the National Association of Service and Conservation Corps (NASCC) in Washington, D.C. on February 12, 2003.
     

  • Received the Corpsmember Achievement/Outcomes Award for its "Partnership with the Southern West Virginia Community & Technical College" through the National Association of Service and Conservation Corps (NASCC) in Washington, D.C. on February 12, 2003.
     

  • Received accreditation through the National Association of Service and Conservation Corps [NASCC] for meeting the Excellence in Corps Operations [ECO] standards.
