Semi-Annual
Courtesy Patrol Safe Driver Awards
August 2005

The West Virginia Courtesy Patrol (WVCP), operated by the Citizens Conservation Corps (CCC) of West Virginia via contract with the West Virginia Division of Highways (WVDOH), is pleased to announce the recipients of their semi-annual Safe Driver Awards.  The WVCP, operating 16 hours a day, 7 days a week, 365 days a year, covers all of West Virginia's major interstates and corridors.

This expansive coverage area, traversing more than 775 miles of beautiful mountain terrain and rolling country sides, is broken down into three main regions from which approximately 125 drivers statewide were considered for the Safe Driver Award.  Only one driver from each of these regions was selected to receive this highly competitive honor.

Drivers were chosen for possessing certain qualities, such as routinely practicing safe work habits, a willingness to go above and beyond the call of duty, and being an ideal employee for the vital role played by the WVCP drivers in protecting and ensuring safety for all motorists traveling West Virginia's highways.

The WVCP's Reggie Seacrist and John Farrell, Safety & Training Director and Assistant to the Deputy Director, respectively, traveled to each region and personally presented drivers with their award.

In recognition of their hard work and dedication to the Courtesy Patrol program, these drivers received a Safe Driver Certificate, as well as a $50 gift card.  The CCC would like to commend these drivers for achieving this award and for the role they play on a daily basis in keeping West Virginia's highways open for business, safe, secure, and tourism friendly.

We salute these individuals for upholding the high safety standards of the West Virginia Courtesy Patrol and for helping to ensure the success of this program.
