Welcome to the Citizens Conservation Corps and thank you for taking an interest in CCC! The legacy of the original CCC, known as the Civilian Conservation Corps dates back to the 1930s under President Franklin D. Roosevelt's public work programs. Our ancestors forged an impressive, solid reputation built on hard work, self-esteem and values.
Following that proud tradition, originally founded June 1, 1993 as McDowell Co. Citizens Conservation Corps, today's CCC is alive and well, working to impact, serve and improve our economy through employment, training and educational programs throughout the country--in both rural and urban communities and cities--where we live, work, and play.
This is done by empowering and introducing corpsmembers, both youth and adults (including veterans) to a wide range of projects and programs; including, but not limited to--West Virginia Courtesy Patrol, West Virginia's ARROW to the Summit Community Service Initiative, Trails and Development, The First Tee & Challenged Athletes of WV, Twin Branch & Burning Rock Outdoor Adventure Parks, and many more!
Please contact us if you would like to support, serve, participate, or become involved with the CCC movement. Again, welcome and thank you for taking the time to learn more about the Citizens Conservation Corps. We look forward to hearing from you in the future!
